The once local Danish brewery have grown into a modern global conglomerate that has witnessed dramatic expansion, particularly over the past few decades. The Carlsberg Group is now the fourth largest brewery in the world, with more than 500 brands represented in 150 markets and more than 40,000 employees.

Definitions of the word "brand" may vary based on the background in which it's used, but the most generic and most common definition is rather simple: a characteristic that serves to identify a particular product. The brand, as it appears on products and / or services, can take a number of different forms, and might include a “word mark” for the mere textual representation of the brand name, a “device mark” - in color as well as in black and white - to capture the brand symbol, or a combination of both elements.

Ipendo User Forum Europe 2011

The annual Ipendo User Forum (IUF) started off rather differently this year. With the announcement that CPA Global had acquired Ipendo, effective from September 28th, users attending the forum in Malmö on September 29th-30th were amongst the first to meet the new parent company.

Toni´s inside track

Another year is about to come to an end, and what a momentous year it has been for the Ipendo Group. The company has been growing at a tremendous pace ever since we started in 2004, and 2011 has been no exception. The number of customers has yet again increased dramatically, and we have continued to deliver innovative services and solutions to help our customers better meet their IP management needs.

The development of the Ipendo Platform™ has been key, and we were proud to lead the way into the next generation IPMS, well ahead of the rest of the market. The exponential demand on Ipendo Extranet aimed at law firms took us by surprise, but it was a pleasant surprise; and we are very happy to start 2012 with many new law firms and IP firms as customers on the Extranet side of the business. Undoubtedly, the major event of 2011 occurred on September 28th when CPA Global acquired Ipendo Group. It is difficult, of course, to give a detailed picture of how things will develop post-acquisition, but three months in and we are already seeing the benefits of being part of a bigger group. We are looking forward to a very exciting 2012, when we believe the full potential of Ipendo will be demonstrated on a global basis through the support of the world’s leading IP group, CPA Global. With the global reach of CPA Global, Ipendo will now be more accessible than ever with local support close to our customers’ IP teams. For our Scandinavian customers, Ipendo will be offering a range of new, enhanced services, breaking new ground through smartly integrated, cutting-edge service and technological solutions.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our customers for making 2011 another memorable year, and to say how much we have appreciated the valuable feedback we’ve received from you along the way!
