About annuity payments
Annuity fees (or taxes) need to be paid in order to keep patents and designs enforced. Most patent offices around the world require these payments to be made at a certain date each year (for patents) or every fifth year (for designs). Keeping track of when, where and how these fees should be paid requires complex administration that is best performed by dedicated suppliers. Apart from the administrative burden there are financial advantages to gain by handling these payments in large volumes.
How does it work
Information about your patents and designs are complied and a complete list of all future payments is calculated. This list is double checked both manually and electronically according to strict routines. Once a transfer date has been established, Ipendo assumes the responsibility for payment of future fees. Regular upkeep of the Ipendo Platform stating new and updated cases ensures that all cases are safely and continuously monitored at all times.
Notifications and standing instructions
Ipendo will notify you of all upcoming fees well in advance. For maximum convenience and security we always apply a standing instruction to pay all upcoming fees unless you instruct us to do otherwise. Thereby eliminating the risk of fees being missed.
